Our world is full of symmetry both in nature and in man-made environments. Break the rule of thirds and place your subject in the centre of the photo and make sure that both sides are exactly (or close to being exactly) the same on either side.
Your task is to use the LIGHT TENT to take 3 photographs of objects that are symmetrical.
1. You will need to find three objects or create three scenes using the light tent in class. You could also attempt to use our ring lights if you would like.
2. You will need to clean up your shots in photoshop to complete your professional shots. You may change the colour of your background to add interest (like above), but remember it must be symmetrical.
3. Post your three shots on your website and submit your favourite to Jeri for printing.
Grading: Each photo will be graded out of 5 on effort, composition, and subject matter.
0 - No attempt 1 - Attempted, minimal success 2 - Attempted, some success 3 - Completed, with success 4 - Completed, above and beyond
