Our world is full of lines – horizontal, vertical, diagonal and converging lines.
Assignment
1.
Add a tab to your portfolio titled: LINES
2.
For this project you will take pictures of
lines
.
Your task is to go out and take pictures of subjects that show these
lines.
3 different pictures of horizontal lines
3 different pictures of vertical lines
3 different pictures of diagonal lines
3 different pictures of converging lines
3.
Upload your pictures to your website. You may decide how you would like to display your images. This is your portfolio.
4.
Highlight 5 of your best shots and type a critique or reflection statement about the photos you chose.
Grading
:
Each picture will be evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5.
The focus will be on the tips mentioned below:
Like any other photo that you take, simplify.
Use a tripod to avoid camera shakes.
Make sure you have lots of lighting – natural or artificial.
Try shooting from different angles.
Fill the photo with your subject.
Get as much detail as possible.
Sharp focus is a must!
No blurry pictures!
Make sure you don’t have anything distracting in the background that’s recognizable (branches, cigarette butts, etc.).

4 - Completed, above and beyond
